Alien Cookies is the textbook quality-over-quantity cultivar. Capulator described it as probably the most incredible flower many people will smoke in their lifetime but it grows stupidly slow with terrible yields. This is a strain you grow for elite resin quality and concentrated terpenes, not commercial throughput. Low yield is a direct consequence of slow vegetative growth (invests energy in root development and resin rather than vertical growth), tight internodal spacing (many small rock-hard nugs rather than large colas), and conservative metabolism.
Growth Structure and Training
LST is the preferred training method — bend and tie branches to maximize light penetration. Top once or twice to promote lateral branching. SCROG net is highly effective for evening the naturally compact canopy. Lollipop the lower third before flipping, with light touch-up around Day 21 of bloom. Avoid aggressive HST — the plant's slow metabolism means prolonged recovery from heavy stress training. Do NOT over-defoliate — light defoliation only.
Nutrient Management
Conservative feeding schedule — modest nutrient appetite especially during veg. Start at half-strength and gradually increase based on plant response. pH: 6.0-6.8 soil, 5.5-6.5 hydro. VPD targets: 0.9-1.2 kPa in veg, 1.2-1.5 kPa in flower.
