Cannabis Clone Care: The First 7 Days

The first week after receiving your clones is the most critical period. Proper care during this time ensures your clones establish strong roots and transition smoothly into vigorous growth. Here's our day-by-day guide.

Day 1: Arrival & Acclimation

Unpack clones immediately. Mist with plain water and place under low-intensity light. Keep humidity at 70-80% using a dome or humidity tent. Temperature should be 72-78°F. Do not transplant, do not fertilize, do not put under intense light. Let them rest.

Days 2-3: Monitoring

Check clones twice daily. Mist if leaves look dry. Gradually increase light intensity. If clones are in rockwool cubes, keep the cubes moist but not soaking. Look for signs of stress: wilting, yellowing, or curling leaves are normal in the first 48 hours and should resolve.

Days 4-5: Transplant Window

Once clones are standing upright and showing new growth, they're ready to transplant. Prepare your pots with pre-moistened medium. Transplant gently without disturbing roots more than necessary. Water with plain pH'd water or very light nutrients (1/4 strength).

Days 6-7: Establishment

By now, clones should be showing signs of new growth. Increase light to normal veg intensity. Begin light feeding if you haven't already. Monitor for any signs of stress or pests. Your clones are now established and ready for vegetative growth.
